The following was Anne's 1998 WTA Tour Player Guide bio. I'd assume most of the information included is still valid, but I'll be sure to update the biography if I learn otherwise.

• Earned 100th career singles win with her best win to date, defeating world #7 Lindsay Davenport in the first round of 1996 Philadelphia en route to a quarterfinal finish; world ranking moved up to a then-career high No. 54; win over Davenport was second win over a Top 10 player in 1996
• Broke into the Top 50 for the first time at No. 48 in March of 1997
• Ranked No. 83, earned first win over a Top 10 player by ousting eigth-ranked Kimik Date in first round of 1996 Stasbourg and went on to reach first COREL WTA TOUR quarterfinal
• Upset top seed Maureen Drake in final of 1995 ITF Women's Circuit satellite event in Peachtree City, Georgia, USA, to win first professional singles title of career; following month, won another ITF Women's Circuit event in Darmstadt, Germany
• Has other career victories over Katerina Maleeva, Karina Habsudova, and Serena Williams (note: Annie also beat Mary Pierce at Hilton Head in '98)
• In junior competition, won the 1991 U.S. National 16s and 1992 Easter Bowl 18s; was a member of the U.S. Maureen Connolly Brinker Cup team; member of the U.S. National Team 1991-92
• Presented with a Clairol/WTA Tennis Scholarship at 1992 U.S. Open; recipient of a 1994 International Hall of Fame Sportsmanship Award
• Favorite surface is hardcourt; best shot is forehand
• Began playing tennis at age 5 with her family
